Browsing Apartments in the Rain
It was probably my last full Sunday in Lille. Even though I have a project to finish for Thursday, I took my time off. I set up my Opal app blocker on weekends to prevent me from using social media in the morning hours. So that morning I went to the market, bought fruits, vegetables and some pastries.
Upon arriving home, I put on my Tchaikovsky vinyl and ate breakfast. After a long breakfast, I started cleaning my house. In the previous days, it had seen heavy traffic due to the end of exams and the first of May. I hosted around 10 people, so I had to be thorough in my cleaning.
Once my social media curfew finished, I saw the messages of next year's treasurer and hopped on a quick call with him to clear up a situation. After a trip to the laundromat, I went to my sister's to drop off boxes.
I ate lunch there and then sat at the kitchen table, drinking my coffee, watching rain fall outside and listening to the periodic rumble of thunder. While sipping coffee and browsing apartments for Montréal, everything was alright.
This Week's Suggestions:
🎶 "You Gonna Want Me (12'' dance mix)" by Tiga:
This, for me, sounds like it could be the tune of my Summer. I added it to the Summer 26' playlist, and I feel like it is a strong contender. Last year's song was "Don't Waste My Time" by Âme, and it has a similar vibe to it. The bonus of it being a classic of the 2000's club scene made by a Canadian DJ.
Have a splendid week!
