Walk it, Talk it

Walk it, Talk it
"Bigmouth Strikes Again" by The Smiths

At some point I would like to go back to Estonia but I would also like to work in a company that makes me travel. Mixing both desires – maybe my work travels can be directed towards Estonia. That being said, getting to the idea took some effort.

Recently I found out that in France therapy is free for students. Well, there are 12 sessions per year that are funded by the state. So considering one session is 60€ at the lowest it's like 720€ per year paid for all students to go to therapy. Even in my case of being an international student.

I had never gone to therapy but I was conscious that it can be useful and since it was free there were no constraints. After two sessions I cannot say that I am fully enlightened, but I have learned some little things to look out for.

For example noticing my inner monologue – the way I speak to myself. First being aware of it and then potentially changing it. The idea is to stop giving yourself orders and instead ask why you want to do something.

Instead of saying "I need to go get groceries" I could say "I want to eat a quality dinner so I want to buy ingredients for that." This small habit can help to start building a desire-map.

I already started to write out what I like and enjoy. For now it is a simple A4 draft on my desk that I complete when I think of something. It creates a mind map on paper, helping link desires together but also simply document them.

Two sessions in and I have already arrived at an idea that I would not have even considered exploring.

This Week's Suggestions (apart from therapy):

A very nice little tune for the start of the week. Resembling the vibe of Fontaines D.C. it has a good groove to it.

Have a sunny day!
