Trust the Process

This upcoming week, I need to lock in my choices for the academic exchange. I will get an answer within a week on whether my choices will be approved. As I post this, I will be meeting with the head of mechanical engineering to discuss my potential destinations and career goals.

Simultaneously, I am looking into apartments for the summer internship, but I am unsure how many of us would be going to Liège, so we are waiting for the skies to clear on that front.

Throughout the year, I have been reminded of the power of trusting the process. Things will unfold one way or another, and things shall work out. It is rather difficult to tell that to oneself at the moment of making decisions, but it has a calming effect and is truthful.

Worrying about all outcomes only makes situations more stressful than they need to be. Even if they are supposedly big decisions, that does not mean you should ignore planning and preparation. It is a question of knowing when to let go.

I have some way to go still, but I am making progress towards being less of an overplanner and more able to go with the flow.
