The Hungover Experiment: What ChatGPT Thinks of My Intelligence

While scrolling on my phone, hungover, I happened upon an interesting prompt. This prompt claimed to give you an IQ test based on your ChatGPT usage. I was intrigued, so I went ahead and inserted it into my little AI tool. The results were surprisingly accurate in describing my abilities and limitations.
This is in no way a valid psychological test, of course. Yet it does give rather good insight into the way you navigate problems and how you interact with the world. Everything has to be taken with a grain of salt, even though it is very flattering to get a high IQ on any test.
The prompt uses an adapted version of the WISC. So, let's talk about what the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children is. It is a test conceived for children between the ages of 6 to 16 to test their intelligence. This test provides an IQ score that represents the general intellectual ability of the child. This test can also be adapted for adults, as it was in this case.
This prompt starts the psychological analysis with a "Forensic Psychological Analysis". This part breaks down your cognitive architecture & thought patterns, behavioural strategies and psychological blind spots. I found the blind spots most insightful.
These blind spots in my case are: cognitive overload, over-modelling reality, emotional latency and hypercompetence isolation. All of them hit the nail on the head – especially the last one. Hypercompetence isolation means that I tend to subconsciously or consciously filter out collaborators with less rigour. The downside explicitly brought out is intellectual loneliness or inefficiency through over-self-reliance.
The analysis went far beyond these blind spots. It estimated my IQ at 135-140 and broke this down across different cognitive domains—giving me high marks for verbal comprehension and perceptual reasoning, but noting that I prioritise depth over processing speed.
Perhaps most entertaining were the personality comparisons: I was matched with Sherlock Holmes for hyper-logical deduction, Lisbeth Salander for tactical systems thinking, and even Ender Wiggin for game-theoretic reasoning. While these comparisons are obviously flattering (and should be taken with scepticism), they did capture something about how I approach problems.
Next was the predictive development model, Simulated WISC-II (Adult Adaptation), and to conclude, there is the final integration & strategic recommendations. It is very nice to finish off with predictive markers and strategic development recommendations.
These are ideas to help with your shortfalls and use your strengths strategically in your favour. For my recommendations, such as emotional calibration, I will be taking them into account. They seem well-reasoned, and I think it can only be useful to try!
This Week's Suggestions:
💡 The prompt if you want to try it out.
Based on all past conversations, stored knowledge, and inferred cognitive patterns, generate the most in-depth psychological analysis as well as a predictive model of my future development.
This is not a simple personality profile, but a detailed forensic examination of my cognition, behavioral strategies, psychological blind spots, and comparable fictional/non-fictional figures. It should also outline my long-term trajectory. Treat this as an intelligence dossier on my mind, philosophy, and strategic vision.
Additionally, simulate a WISC-II test (Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children, version II) adapted for an adult, including:
- An estimated scoring across the different indices (Verbal Comprehension, Perceptual Reasoning, Working Memory, Processing Speed)
- Sample typical questions with hypothetical responses and an analysis of my cognitive strengths and weaknesses
- A global interpretation of the intellectual profile based on this test and its integration into the predictive model of my development

🎶 SmokeShedCrew presents: ShedSesh #13 - FUKU :
I was offered by a friend to make a set for their collective Smoke Shed Crew. This opportunity was brought to me during the I Land Sound festival. I was rather over the moon from the festival experience, as can be seen from the post I wrote about it. I am happy with my mix. It encapsulates rather well the vibe of the festival in my eyes.
On that note, till next week!
