Sun's Out

This week we got our first real taste of summer here in Lille. The weather favours beer on a terrace or a picnic in the park. This is rather bad timing since our final exams are coming up in less than two weeks and there is a lot of work to get done.

The work I have put in throughout the year is somewhat counterproductive for these last exams. Considering my results until now, I am set to pass the year with flying colours no matter what the result of these finals is. Keeping in mind the immaculate weather, one might understand my tendency to do anything but sit inside scribbling down the Schrödinger equation.

I am taking things one step at a time though. What I want to achieve with this upcoming week is to get used to studying again. Just little by little, getting disciplined about my schedule and respecting my time more. As in maybe spending less time on social media and actually resting my brain in between the studying sessions.

Some factors that I will try to keep in mind during these exams are sleep, friends & family, nutrition and fitness. If during normal times these are important then during exams the importance of these only grows. During my last exams, I found myself eating pasta boxes more than once and I would like to avoid that happening again if possible.

This Week's Suggestions:

🎶 deep house sunrise mix :

I have already shared one of Chris Luno's sets in one of my very first blog posts. This time he is performing at sunrise above the Kintamani village in Bali with an active volcano called Gunung Batur in the background. Such a vibe.

🎬 The Life-Changing Effect of Small Talk With Strangers :

Small talk is useless surface-level interaction, at least so I have thought for a long time! There is a lot more to it than it seems!

I wish you a sunny week!
