Responsibilities for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

"The more you do, the more you have time for"

Since three weeks ago I have been a part of the association of techno at my school called bpm. I applied there at the start of October and got taken in as a person helping out with the events organised. I am very pleased to be a part of the team because I am a fan of all sorts of electronic music and my techno library does need some expansion.

Coming back to planet Earth – I am studying full-time in prépa, supposedly the 2 most intense years of any lifetime. Furthermore, I am a part of a high-level volleyball team with whom we train 3 times per week and have a game on Sundays. Last year I already had trouble balancing just the two, so this year is going to be turbulent. I must say that this year of prépa is slightly less intense than last year, nevertheless, I might be biting off more than I can chew.

At least that is what I was scared of when I got accepted to bpm. After 2 weeks of back-to-back events, volleyball training and school I realise that it is not at all that bad. My mom made a comment about this – "You are at the age where the more you do, the more you have time for." At the moment I find this to be true. I am pushing myself more than I used to, yet I get it all done.

It is true that this intensity can cause certain hardships which will mostly be in the form of physical and mental stress. This being said from what it seems at the moment, the relationships and more generally the aperture I get through putting myself out there is far outweighing all of the negatives.

So try it yourself – test how much responsibility you can handle!

This Week's Suggestions:

🎶 "Ooga Booga" by Ski Mask The Slump God:

When I first got into US rap I really enjoyed Ski Mask's goofy style. A friend of mine recently sent me this song and I instantly fell in love again. The bounciness of the beat and the mumbling of the lyrics make it very entertaining! I mean come on the name of the song is Ooga Booga, is that not brilliant? What I have found with mumble rap is that the lyrics become a part of the beat, they are complementary to enjoying the song but are not necessary.

Have a lovely day!
