Landing from Sound

Another I Land Sound happened. Last year, when we went the first time, we did not know what we were signing up for. Not having expectations we had such a good return on investment. 

This year, we went again, almost same group of friends, 4 days of sauna-swimming-yoga, 3 nights filled with groovy music. Even knowing where I was going it was still great. We discussed the why behind it at one point and came to the conclusion that even if the festival itself is very important, just as important are the people that come along.

These friends, in this setting, I will not meet again for a while. It makes the whole thing more special. It is a time, once a year where we almost certainly know we will meet again. The goodbyes were not unsure — if not earlier, we’ll meet again next year, same place, same time.

The timing of the festival was spot on for me personally. Right on the midway point of my internship. A timeout, from work, from worries about my upcoming exchange and my career choices in general.

So just a thought that maybe creating some rituals-routines with friends is a good checkup point!
