The jolly month is upon us—time to set up the Christmas tree and buy your stock of clementines. For most students, the month of December is synonymous with deadlines and exams. That being said, the payoff of returning home for two weeks sounds rather pleasant.

The workload in the third year of HEI is quite a bit. I have four hefty projects that I am working on simultaneously this week, and I have six exams to prepare for the following week. Some tasks are easier than others, but the workload is still considerable.

The interesting thing is that the pressure has not yet settled into my body. I have done a little bit of something for everything but not a lot. This gives me the illusion that everything is fine, but in reality, there is still work to do. Having started a bit early does give the advantage of not being completely lost when actually starting the work though.

Mostly I am already projecting myself past these two weeks, when I will be able to fly back to Estonia, where there's hopefully a little snow left to have a whiteish Christmas and New Year's. As mentioned, that is the reward – first, there are things to get done.

Especially since during the previous exams, everything did not go according to plan for me.
