I Like Trains

I like trains, especially fast trains like the one I am on right now from Lille to Brussels. It is somehow way more satisfying than taking the plane. The whole user experience is more intuitive, accessible and overall a better experience.

No in-depth security check, more leg room, and bring however much luggage you want (probably not on paper, but who checks?). This simple layover train ride inspires me to travel by train during my internship in Lille during the summer months of May-June.

At the moment, I have an illusion of leaving all my worries behind to return to my family with this TGV. Well, that genuinely is the plan. Eventually, the worries will catch up, but I have got some leeway.

My father has been speaking about going to our summerhouse during this holiday and completely switching off. Being alone in the vast Estonian forest. It sounds peaceful and very welcome right now. No internet, just some books, the sea and a campfire if I can light it with the temperature and humidity.

Sounds lovely to get some introspection. A time to get bored and take that step back to see the bigger picture. That being said, I do still need to prepare some exams, but I feel like it will work well together. Getting work done is also self-care.
