the apéro

This time around I felt like I really deserved this holiday. After two years of heavy work, it feels like I am worthy to enjoy myself. I'm not saying that holidays can not otherwise be enjoyable, I am simply stating that this time, it felt even better.

At the start of the week, I spent time with friends in the Netherlands, which was great. I loved catching up with them. On Friday we did a 7-hour-long road trip with classmates to get to Carnac. This was different from the previous few days. As a group of post-prépa students, we had such cohesive energy. The road trip went by in the blink of an eye.

The house we were staying at is on the shore. So at the very moment of arrival, the swimming shorts went on and everyone rushed into the warm Atlantic. Since then I have had a few novel experiences – I now have slept under a tree with only a sleeping bag, I have experienced what I believe is the highest form of hospitality and I have done paddle boarding.

Needless to say that the start of Summer has been a success. I've been on a high the whole week. Even with all this I still do not believe that I would be as grateful, proud and happy if I had not put in any work in between. I find that the contrast makes it so much better.

This Week's Suggestions:

🎶 "No Man No Cry" by Jimmy Sax:

This song was the song we played during sunset as we were grilling and having the greatest apéro at the house. It really fits perfectly into the puzzle of the situation.

Signing off now! Till next time!
