City of the Living
I went to Paris for the weekend to visit a high school classmate. He is doing an internship there currently, and I have not seen him in a long time. Apart from going to Charles de Gaulle Airport, I had not visited Paris in a little while, especially considering how close it is.
I like the town. I feel like things just happen there. Every single time I happen to go with or without a plan, things just flow. Since there are so many options of activities and places to try, I am always left wanting more.
What I most enjoyed was also hanging out with people with different approaches to life and journeys. I have already talked about this earlier this school year.
What I mean is that one evening we were drinking champagne on a rooftop with four people. One person is doing social media full-time and partially living in Paris, one is studying law in Helsinki, one is working in business in Paris, and I am studying engineering in Lille.
On my way back to Lille, I feel really refreshed and inspired, even having slept on the floor on a self-inflating camping mattress without a pillow. I think the reason I leave this capital wanting more is that in this town, I feel alive, surrounded by people chasing different dreams and taking action.
This Week’s Suggestions:
🎶 Let Me Take You (On a Journey) by Van Bellen:
I found this song on the way back to Lille, and it feels like the perfect opening for a set. Let me take you on a journey! Currently back in Lille, I am feeling inspired to record a mix tonight at home.
I wish you an inspiring week!
