Calm Coffee Moment

Right now I am sitting in my garden in Tallinn. The weather is not good, not bad – cloudy but rather warm. I just made a bowl of my family's trademark tomato-cheese-onion salad and am now seated outside with some chanson française and a coffee. Very calming.
I did not have a gradual transition back into life after an idyllic experience on the Iberian peninsula. I only took that same evening of arrival as rest. The next day I was already running around like a headless chicken. I had preplanned events and wanted to meet loads of friends.
On that note, I will be taking some rest this upcoming week. Going to our summer house in Saaremaa. The place is remote in the sense that there are no neighbours in the near 2 kilometres and the house is 200 metres from the seaside. This is my safe space if you will.
Will try to get back into reading. On the 5th day of the Camino, I left my book in a hostel and got a message about it when I was already 3 hours out of town. Instead of reading I simply journaled a lot more in the following days. I am very happy that I kept a journal, especially for this trip – I had an average of 3 entries per day.
I tried to put as many details into every entry as possible. I have already talked about why I like journaling in: Journal To Journal. Simply having a text of your own to read over in a few years is amazing in my eyes – the moments come flashing back.
This post was just a momentary flight of ideas as we call it in Estonian. This is the beauty of having this weekly post for me – a deadline that forces creativity to happen.
This Week's Suggestions:
🎶 "Amsterdam" by Jacques Brel:
One of the songs I was listening to while writing this. Brel is one of my favourites in the playlist. His songs have often been playing in the house ever since I remember.
Wishing you a lovely week ahead!
