"Of Two Minds" by IMANU and Rhode
“Mais si on n’est pas fou à 20 ans, on ne le seras jamais et c’est bien dommage.” Marc Levy

Translation: "But if you're not crazy at 20, you never will be and that's a shame."

This is a quote from the book "Éteignez tout et la vie s'allume". Once I read that sentence I had to take a second. I had to read it again and again. I read it multiple times in an effort to internalise it. It truly hit home since I am at that very time in life. The quote made me consider if I am capitalising on my life at my given age.

Some questions came up:

  1. Am I too self-conscious about my behaviour to live my life fully?
  2. Am I focused on the right things?
  3. Am I enjoying the journey enough?

So there I was, in my bed at midnight, philosophically perplexed. I could not continue reading, all I could do was stare at the ceiling in hopes of finding any solution to my previously mentioned reflections. I did not get very far in reflecting that night.

What I did instead is ponder over the few specific times at which I did not live life fully, focused on the wrong things and did absolutely not enjoy the journey. As one does. This highly unnecessary activity kept me up for a while. I will try to revisit these questions at another time with a more objective approach.

The quote is now my phone background. The constant reminder will hopefully help me be slightly crazier.

Another week, another science suggestion. This time around it is by Veritasium and explores, entropy, which is as the title suggests the most misunderstood concept of physics. If you have 30 min to spare to learn some cool things then I highly recommend it.

🎶 "Of Two Minds" by IMANU and Rhode:

This song coming out is one of the highlights of my week. I really enjoy IMANU's sound design. We spoke about it recently with a friend and agreed that his songs manage to capture all of our fleeting attention since there is so much happening. A friend of mine put it best – IMANU's music is eboy trash beats that are sometimes violent, sometimes melodic.
