I started my internship at SBI this week. From day one, I was given tasks that felt meaningful, not just the usual coffee runs or filing papers that people joke about. I’ve already gotten the chance to start working on a project that aligns with my interests and feels meaningful.

Currently, I am learning how to use databases by doing a course on them suggested by my supervisors. It is essential in the workflow of SBI, since the services they offer are around databases. What I have enjoyed most is the technical side. I would go as far as to say that I have gotten more into the weeds this past week than during the whole last semester of school.

The main project I have is to create a curated AI agent. An agent that can make summaries of meetings, PowerPoint presentations, whilst also being booted up to the datasets manipulated by SBI. Some of my friends have pointed out that these things exist already, which is true. That's where the curated part comes in. All of these will be structured in the way the enterprise sees fit. For example, the PowerPoint this agent outputs will be with the template of SBI.

It is fascinating to play around with these tools. That being said, it is rather complex to understand from the get-go. Making something functional is yet to come, there is a lot of learning to be done. If this first week is any indication, I’m in for a transformative two months. I can already see myself becoming more capable and curious so that's slick.
