Hello! My name is Uku and I am an Estonian student at HEI, an engineering school based in Lille. The journey started off with two years of preparatory classes and my initial goal with this website was to document the said journey.

Since that starting point, I have varied my style a lot. At the moment I am writing short articles about subjects that interest me. There is a new post every Monday at 08:30 Central European Standard Time (GMT+1).

Since the summer of 2023, I have been documenting my gap year in the Estonian army. I'm basically doing a side-quest at the moment. This will be the case until the following summer.

The initial inspiration for the blog came from this video made by productivity guru Ali Abdaal, who explains why it is essential for one to own a world wide web domain. Another inspiration was the book "Show Your Work!" by Austin Kleon.
